Tribal Relations Liaison - The role of the Tribal Relations Liaison is to serve as an advocate, resource, and communication link both within and outside the agency on health care policy affecting American Indian AHCCCS members
and other stakeholders. The liaison works with the
22 Arizona tribes, three Indian Health Service areas, urban Indian health
programs, and stakeholder organizations. The Tribal Relations Liaison works with various divisions in the agency and is part of the agency's Office of Intergovernmental Relations. The liaison also serves as the agency's representative on the Advisory Council on Indian Health Care.
