Important NPI Information for Health Care Providers and AHCCCS Trading Partners

As allowed by CMS, late last spring AHCCCS elected to deploy an NPI contingency plan which allowed for the continued dual use of the NPI for service/rendering providers through February 29, 2008 dates of processing. This contingency period has now expired and AHCCCS will enforce appropriate full compliance with the NPI provisions for processing on and after 3/1/2008 for service/rendering providers. For additional information related to AHCCCS NPI requirements refer to the AHCCCS NPI webpage.
