AHCCCS Rate Rebase Information

 

Outpatient Hospital Fee Schedule Rebase

Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code, R9-22-712.40, AHCCCS will begin the rebase of the Outpatient Fee Schedule (OPFS) in November of 2009.

OPFS rebased rates will be designed to be budget-neutral for the State. Individual hospital outcomes may vary depending upon utilization. AHCCCS plans to have individual hospital projections available in the spring of 2010.

AHCCCS welcomes stakeholder input in this effort. At any time, correspondence regarding the OPFS can be sent to FFSRates@azahcccs.gov. Stakeholder input and all other pertinent information regarding the rebase will be posted here.

Milestones

  • November 2009 - AHCCCS begins rebase project
  • December 2009 - AHCCCS solicits crosswalk information from hospitals
  • March 2010 (tentative) - AHCCCS to submit revised Administrative Code
  • April 2010 (tentative) - AHCCCS to send preliminary comparisons to hospitals
  • September 1, 2010 - Public Notice for October 1, 2010 rates to be posted
  • October 1, 2010 - Implement rebased rates
 

Nursing Facility and Home and Community Based Services Rate Rebases

Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute Section 36-2959, AHCCCS will begin the rebase of the Nursing Facility (NF) Fee Schedule and the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Fee Schedule in November 2009.

AHCCCS welcomes stakeholder input in this effort. At any time, correspondence regarding NF and HCBS rates can be sent to AHCCCS at FFSRates@azahcccs.gov. Stakeholder input and all other pertinent information regarding the rebase will be posted here.

Milestones

  • November 2009 - AHCCCS begins NF and HCBS rebase projects
  • December 31, 2010 - Provider surveys due
  • October 1, 2010 - Implement rebased HCBS rates
  • October 1, 2010 - Implement rebased NF rates
